Chief Accountant

Our Client: International pharma company

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions;
  • Supervise the accuracy of General Ledger entries and accounting classifications;
  • Preparation of financial overviews, reports, analysis, and forecasts needed for controlling purposes;
  • Ensure accurate and timely information to different stakeholders (e.g. Tax, Financial Risk Management, internal and external auditors);
  • Submit tax returns (VAT/WHT/CIT, etc.), statistical reports, statutory filings, Intrastat;
  • Arrange payments to suppliers and weekly cash forecasting;
  • Deliver accurate account payable and account receivables report for Local & Group purposes;
  • Prepare month and year-end closing, balance sheets reconciliation and general ledger reviews, forecasting, and budgeting;
  • Ensure compliance with internal control framework;
  • Proactively work with the local business to identify their reporting needs and provide timely solutions;
  • Ad-hoc reporting;
  • Effectively communicate with government institutions, external auditors, etc.;
  • Engage in and initiate continuous improvement activities.

 Profile:

  • University degree in Accounting / Finance;
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting in an international environment;
  • Knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulation;
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve complex problems, timely and precisely;
  • Strong business acumen;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • A reliable, stress-resistant person with a positive approach;
  • Open to learn anything new, simplify and implement improvements;
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills;
  • SAP knowledge is an advantage;
  • The employee will perform other tasks under the direction of the Manager within the agreed type of work.
